Donated items are on the way to Los Toros

The people of Los Toros will soon benefit from the solidarity and generosity shown by members of St. Joseph Parish and the Grafton community.

At the end of February, Los Toros Mission Council members packed for shipment of more than 20 boxes of medical, educational and community supplies and sports equipment. Over the last months, these items were graciously donated by various organizations and individuals including St. Joseph’s Parish School, the Grafton Stingers Softball Club, the Ozaukee Wave, Global Giving, and individual parish members.

Some of the items included in the shipment:

· Medical and dental supplies: examination gloves, heating pad, walker, and cane, bed pads and sheets, toothbrushes, paste and floss.

· School supplies: spiral notebooks and loose-leaf paper, folders, pencils, pens, and markers, bookbags and backpacks.

· Sports equipment: volleyball and basketball uniforms, baseball jerseys, caps, gloves, and catchers’ equipment, baseballs, softballs, bats, volleyballs, and basketballs,

· Additiona items: T-shirts, water bottles, tool bags, sewing machine. 

The shipment was sent with a Milwaukee freight forwarding company, Envío Felíz, whose owners are Dominican and originally from a town very near Los Toros. The shipment is scheduled to arrive in Los Toros in about a month.
